“Anaadi”(1975) was directed by Asit Sen for I S Films, Bombay. The “social” movie had Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Mausami Chatterji, Kabir Bedi, Mehmood (friendly appearance), Utpal Dutt, Kader Khan, Dina Pathak, Shamim, Devkishan Ahuja, HRaindranath Chattopadhyay, Anita Guha, Mushtaq Merchant, Birbal, Asit Sen etc in it, with specuial appearances by Anil Dhawan, Poornima, Krishnkant and Paintal.
Unlike its namesake of 1959, which had Raj Kapoor in it, his kid brother Shashi Kapoor starred movie “Anaadi”(1975) has ended up becoming an obscure movie, despite being a movie of recent vintage by the standards of this blog.
“Anaadi”(1975) had five songs in it and they too have been forgotten. Here is the first song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
The song is picturised as a boat song on Shashi Kapoor and Mausami Chatterji. We find Kabir Bedi and Utpal Dutt spying them with binoculars.
I wonder what the movie was all about. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie.

I remember Sharmila tagore in this movie, who is materialistic socialite(to the core) type of lady partying alongwith Kabir Bedi and also a beautifull Asha Bhosle song picturised on her “Tandi pawan hai diwani, chhede dupatta mera”
