In this post we listen to a song from the movie ‘Arab Ka Sitara-1961’.
This movie was introduced on the blog on 13.12.2013 when its song ‘shama gul kar ke naa jaa’ was posted on the blog.
“Arab Ka Sitara-1961” was directed by R.K. Rehman for ‘J.K. Arts Productions, Bombay’. It had Kamran, Sheela Kashmiri, Shyam Kumar, Habib, Ashraf Khan, Shaikh, Indira, Chandrakala and others.
“Arab Ka Sitara-1961” has seven songs shared among three lyricists’ viz. Ehsan Rizvi, Aziz Ghazi and Saba Afghani. However lyricist’s name for individual songs is mentioned for only four songs in HFGK Vol-IV (1961-1970).
Music for this movie was composed by Sadat.
Shamshad Begam, Mubarak Begam, Savita Banerjee, Minoo Puroshottam, Ismail Azad and Sadat had given their voices to the songs in this movie.
Today we present the second song from this movie which is sung by Mubarak Begam and lyrics are by Ehsan Rizvi.
