Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No.77
————————————————————————————–

On this date ten years ago (13 April 2013), nine songs from nine different movies were covered in the blog. Here are the details:-

Post No Song Title Name of the movie Remarks

7894 Aayi baisaakhi bagiya mehki Duniya Ek Saraai (1947) 5 songs covered out of 9 by now

We observe that three movies (out of nine) whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago (viz on 13 april 2013) have since been YIPPEED in the blog. That leaves us with six movies that are unYIPPEED and therefore eligible for Blog ten year challenge today (13 April 2023).

“Gunsundari”(1948) is one of the BTYC eligible movies today (13 april 2023).

“Gunsundari”(1948) was directed by Ratibhai Punatkar for Ajit Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Manhar Desai, Dulaari, Chaman Romeo,Saraswati, Babu Raje, Jalejar Writer, Kamlesh Takkar, Naziraa, Ibrahim, Chandramukhi, Master Pransukh etc in it.

The movie had 14 songs in it. Five songs have been covered in the blog.

Here is the sixth song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Geeta Dutt (they Geeta Roy). Pt Indra Chandra is the lyricist. There were three music directors in this movie namely Bulo.C.Rani, Hansraj Bahl, Avinash Vyas, but the distribution of songs among the three is not known.

The audio link appears to be a partial clip as it is just 1 minute 40 seconds long, whereas a typical song should be twice as long. But this is all we have, so unless we get hold of a longer version of this song, we will have to be satisfied with this curtailed song.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.
