‘Anjangarh’ (1948) was directed by Bimal Roy for New Theatres, Calcutta. This movie had Bipin Gupta, Ajay Kumar, Hiralal, Sunanda Devi, Rama Indu, Parulkar, Bhupendra Kapoor, Tulsi Chakraborty, Asit Sen, Jahar Roy etc in it.
This movie had six songs in it.
HFGK mentions that all six songs of the movie were composed by RC Boral.
One song from ‘Anjangarh’ (1948) was covered in the blog. This song, which appears to be a prayer, was sung by Pankaj Mullick and Utpala Sen. Pt Bhushan was the lyricist. The post mentioned RC Boral as the music director as mentioned in HFGK.
Then Mr Sunil Trivedi who was quite close to Pankaj Mullick, sent a message to our beloved in-house encyclopedia Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh. He mentioned that

I received from Harishbhai Raghuvanshi atulsongaday.me write up on above. MD is stated as RC Boral. Though he was MD for entire movie but not for 2 songs of Pankaj Mullick this + Aye julm ki janjir se jakade hue quaidee. Both songs WERE COMPOSED BY PANKAJDA HIMSELF. PANKAJDA HAS NEVER SANG SOMEONE’s COMPOSITIONS incl Hindi song of Bangla movie Monihar sung by Pankajda,music was by Pankajda and not movie MD Hemantkumar.Regards,

Accordingly, we revised the name of the music director to Pankaj Mullick.
It was mentioned in that e mail that Pankaj Mullick had sung another song in the movie.
Here is that Pankaj Mullick solo song from ‘Anjangarh’ (1948). This song is penned by Ramesh Chandra Pandey. As mentioned by Mr Sunil Trivedi, this song was composed by Pankaj Mullick himself.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
I have not been able to note down the lyrics fully to my satisfaction and there are gaps/ errors in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the gaps/ suggest corrections in the lyrics as applicable.

Atul ji,
Two points.
First, I have corrected the lyrics above and also added Hindi lyrics to the post. Please review.
Second, regarding the music director credits, I discussed this matter with Shri Anup ji Gadodia of Kolkata, whom I have referred to and taken advice from, earlier also in matters relating to New Theater films. His opinion is that within New Theater productions, Pankaj Babu has sung for other music directors in the NT music department, which include RC Boral, KC Dey and Timir Baran. As per him, the Geet Kosh listings and MD credits for the films ‘Manzil’ (1936), ‘Adhikar’ (1938), ‘Aandhi’ (1940) and ‘Anjangarh’ (1948) are correctly listed.

If we go by Sunil Trivedi’s statement that Pankaj Mullick never sang someone’s composition, then we have to correct the songs of Pankaj Mullick in ‘Adhikaar’ (1938), ‘Aandhi’ (1940) and ‘Doctor’ (1940) covered on the Blog for which the music directors have been accredited as Timir Baran, K C Dey and R C Boral, respectively.
