“Ek Naao Do Kinaare”(1973) was an obscure movie of its time. This movie was directed by B R Ishara for Nitin Films, Bombay. The movie had Rakesh Pandey, Heena Kausar, Mrinal Mukherjee, Manhar Desai, Anand Narula, Manohar, Indra Medha, Sheelara, Karunesh Thakur, Neelam Garudiya, Narottam Shah, Meeta Tripathi, Ramesh Bhatt, Sharmaji, Yogesh Chhabda, Neelam Dave, Sarla Choksi, Miss Khan, Naseema, Master Farjan Engineer, Mansoori, Baby Yasmeen etc in it.
B R Ishara directed movies tended to attract Adult certificate from the censor Board. This movie was no exception.

Video of the song shows that the song is picturised on Rakesh Pandey and Hina Kausar who are seen frolicking on a beach. The previous song showed Hina Kausar frolicking with Mrinal Mukherjee. Perhaps that explains the title of the movie “Ek Naao Do Kinaare” and also explains why this movie was given an A cerificate by the censors.
