Today’s Asha Bhosle song is “Dil Jale Toh Koi Kya Kare” from Call Girl (1974), which is penned by Naqsh Lyallpuri and composed by Sapan Jagmohan.

It starred Zahira, Vikram Makandar, Iftekhar, Urmila Bhatt, Shekhar Purohit, Minoo Mehtab, Reddi, Mansaram, Satyajeet, Shefali, Jankidas, Heena Kausar and Kuljeet.
Jalal Agha and Nazneen, Krishan Dhawan and Paintal have friendly appearances in this movie.
Story of this movie was by Mukesh Movies Story Department. Editing of this movie was done by B.S. Glaad. Screenplay and dialogues of this movie were written by K. A. Abbas.
The basic premise of the story is that:
“Amar returns from abroad and is asked by his multi-millionaire dad, Sonachand, to assist with their family business, Amar agrees to do so, on the condition that he spends the rest of the evening and night doing what he likes – painting.
He meets with a beautiful young woman by the name of Maya, and falls in love with her. When he attempts to introduce her to his parents, his mother accepts her, but her dad recognizes her as Kamini – a high-priced prostitute that he had had an intimate relationship with years ago.
However, Amar names her Maya and falls in love with her. When he attempts to introduce her to his parents, on reaching his house his mother accepts her, but there she sees his father’s (Sonachand’s) photo and she recalls that he is the same person whom he had forced into skin trade by promising her a job.
He had had an intimate relationship with her years ago and threatened her to get into this business, or else he would kidnap her sister who studies in a boarding school in Panchgani and throw her into this business.
But now, Kamini/Maya has decided to leave this profession. But Sonachand does not want Amar to marry a call girl. So he tells Kamini to act like a call girl once again so that Amar leaves her. Kamini agrees to do so, because she doesn’t want Amar to face problems from society as well as his family.
But on the same night, Sonachand sees that his own daughter Usha has taken to prostitution. Meanwhile, Amar learns the truth about his father and shuns him.
His father shoots himself because of his guilt and Amar leaves his house to go to find Kamini, and sees that she has consumed slow poison and is about to die within a few hours.
So Amar quickly uses her services as a call girl and pays her for a one-night stand before she dies.”
Two songs out of six have already been posted in the blog. Here’s the third song. On screen we can see Heena Kausar lip syncing the song and trying to woo Vikram Makandar.

Lyrics (from audio link):
dil jaley toh koi kya karey
kuchh kaho na
haa
dard badhta hee jaaye hai
kuch karo na
ae
kuchh karo na
dil jaley toh koi kya karey
kuchh kaho na
dard badhta hi jaaye hai
kuchh karo na
ae
kuchh karo na
khila khila
ghula ghula
mehka ang le lo o
khila khila
ghula ghula
mehka ang le lo o
mere gesuon se
saaree raat khelo
ae sanam tanhaai se
yoon daro na
ho
dard badhta hee jaaye hai
kuchh karo na
ae
kuchh karo na
saara gila
jaata rahey
dil ko chain aaye ae
saara gila
jaata rahey
dil ko chain aaye
daalo in labon pe
apne lab ke saaye
raat bhee ruk jaayegee
tum ruko na
haa
dard badhta hi jaaye hai
kuchh karo na
ae
kuchh karo na
dil jaley toh koi kya karey
kuch kaho na
ho
dard badhta hi jaaye hai
kuchh karo na
ae kuchh karo na
aa kuchh karo na
ae
la la lalla la
