Kamsune/Unsune Songs of Asha Bhosle-11

Today’s post will be my 50th one on Atul Song A Day blog spot. Thank you Atul for providing me this platform, and also a bigger thank you to all my fellow contributors for their support.

This is the second song of this movie to be posted here. The first song was “Maaf karo o baba maaf karo

Our good friend Avinash Ji has provided the credits of the film.

“Keemat-1973” was directed by Ravi Nagaich for ‘Bharti Internationals, Madras’. Ravi Nagaich had also done the photography of this movie. It was produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao.

Keemat 1973 starred Dharmendra, Rekha, Prem Chopra, Rajendra Nath, Aagha, Satyen Kappu, Maruti, Murad, Puranik, J.N. Anand, Prem Kumar, Kirti Kumar, Subhash, Suhail, Arjun Kumar, Shabnam, Indira Bansal, Halam, Kalam, Munni, Rani, with Jayshree T., Padma Khanna, Ranjeet.

K.N. Singh and Jayadev make friendly appearances in this movie.

Dialogues of this movie were written by Vishwamitra Adil while the story idea was by Ramjee. V.D. Puranik was the dialogue director for this movie. Editing of this movie was done by N.S. Prakasam.

This movie had total six songs composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Anand Bakshi penned the lyrics for all songs.

The story of Keemat as per IMDB is:

Bombay police are receiving several complaints about missing of young women from lower middle class families, Pedro poses as a travel agent and lures women by promising them luxury lives and is behind their disappearance. Agent 116 (Gopal) is appointed for the case while investigating he finds about a women named Nanda whose suddenly gone missing when he traces her finds that Nanda now lives a luxurious life by name of Maria. Gopal manages to trace Pedro but has no evidence to arrest him and is waiting for next move and meets Sudha younger sister of Nanda who wants her to return home.In the process. Sudha and Gopal fall in love Gopal also finds that Pedro is just a henchmen working for a big fish Shaktimaan. Gopal now asks Sudha to pose a simple innocent girl in need of work and meet Pedro in order to expose the gang.

This movie is part of “The Indian Secret Service Agent 116 – Gopi alias Gopalkishan Pandey”, series created by Ravikant Nagaich (I was told his actual name is Nagaiah and not Nagaich). The other movies were Farz (1967), The Train (1970), Keemat (1973), Surakksha (1979), Wardaat (1981), Raksha (1981), The Gold Medal (1984), etc

Today’s song is “Dil Rang Loon Kaun Se Rang Mein” sung by Asha Bhosle, penned by Anand Bakshi and beautifully composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. It’s the 11th song in my series “Kamsune/Unsune Songs of Asha Bhosle”. The orchestration and composition of prelude & interludes is top notch from the master composer Pyarelal Sharma. Great use of bass guitar, saxophone, trumpets and drums is excellent!!!

The video clip has an extended prelude and ad-lib.

Hope you all will enjoy this song!!!
