“Rahgeer”(1943) was directed by A Rasheed for Rasik Productions, Bombay. This ‘Social” movie had Trilok Kapoor, Masood, Shantaarin, Shahzadi, Hafiz Khan Mastana, Mannan, Anwari, Ayaz, Asharani, Jaimala, S m Razi, Qasam, Ghulam Hussain, Habib etc in it.
This forgotten movie had nine obscure songs in it. HFGK gives record numbers of all the songs, but names of singers are given only for five songs. Names of singers are missing in the other four songs.
One song from the movie has been covered in the blog.
Here is the second song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by an unknown female voice and an unknown male voice. Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khan Mastana.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song as well as on the identity of the singers of this song.
