“Hum Naujawaan-1985” was directed by Dev Anand for Devina Films, Bombay . Devina was the producer of this movie. This movie was passed by Censor Board on 18.11.1985. The cast of this movie has a long list including Dev Anand, Dr Shreeram Lagoo, Anupam Kher, Tabbassum, Ramesh Dev, Bharat Kapoor, Pinchoo Kapoor, Dinesh Hingoo, Mohan Shery, Sunil Dhawan, Amarnath Mukherjee, Parvez, Bandini, Leena Das, Rajrani and others. Richa Sharma, Atley Brar, Bunty Bahal, Tabbu, Johny Garner were the debutant who made their debuts with this movie. Zarina Wahab made a special appearance in this movie.
This movie has five songs in it. Four were written by Anjaan and one by Indeevar. R D Burman was the music director. One song from this movie has already been posted on this blog.
Today, on the occasion of the ninety-third birthday of legendary singer Asha Bhonsle I am presenting the second song from this movie. This is a solo song sung by Asha Bhonsle. Anjaan is the lyricist of this song.
The song is picturised as a party song where Richa Sharma lip syncs the song. Many artistes including Dev Anand are present in the picturisation.
This song apparently serves as a turning point in this movie. As the song ends, Dev Anand discovers some vital clues in the form of some blood stained clothes I have not watched this movie so I have no idea what these clues indicate.
This song is a lesser heard song. I have no recollection of having heard this song before. Only the title song of this movie had become somewhat popular.
