Mukesh and his NFS – 12
Mukesh had an excellent rapport and good association with composer Khaiyyam. He sang about 18 filmi and 10 NFS.
I have mentioned and enlisted all these 28 songs in my earlier posts. They can be found here and here.
I reproduce the table of his NFS under Khaiyyam’s composition with the status as on date on the blog as it was not reflected earlier.

It is surprising to note that only 4 out of the 10 songs have been covered so far. It is easy to infer from the above table that Jan Nisar Akhtar has written 8 out the 10 NFS that Mukesh sang under Khaiyyam.
While preparing the above table, I again got confused as there is another film under Usha Khanna’s composition with the same title and Mukesh having a solo in it too. For a moment, I was even afraid of some mistake on my part in my previous posts. But then everything is in order.
I shall take up S. No 9 later and try to clear up the matter once again.
While trying to sort out these multiple same film titles confusion, I pleasantly stumbled upon a couple of unposted songs which I shall cover in the coming days.
For today’s post, I have picked up S. No 7, again in the glorious voice of Mukesh.
