Mukesh and his NFS – 13
More than a decade back, 27 August 2015, to be precise, I had a written a special post on the Remembrance Day of Mukesh.
It was special in the sense that it dealt with the composing career of Mukesh in my series Mukesh and his Composers.
Yes, Mukesh indeed composed for a film Anuraag (1956) as well as 5 NFS.
These details along with the table can be found in this post.
I am reproducing the NFS portion of the table in this post along with the status of the 5 songs on the blog as on date.

Mukesh composed and sung two ghazals of Zafar. One was posted by self at S. No 3. With this post, the other one is also being covered.
Bahadur Shah Zafar (24 October 1775 – 07 November 1862) the last Mughal Emperor penned many ghazals, nazms etc. often reflecting on loss, loneliness and impermanence of life.
Here is the second and last Urdu ghazal penned by Zafar, sung and composed by Mukesh.
