Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 70
We are slowly and steadily moving towards a century of rare/rarer/rarely heard songs of Asha Bhosle. Another 30 more to reach the milestone.
Today I present to you an extremely rare song “Tum Bhi Jhoote Hum Bhi Jhoote” from a C grade thriller “Rani Mera Naam” (1972). The song was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and composed by R D Burman.
One song from this film has already been posted here by Avinash Ji. This then becomes the second of four songs from the film.
From previous post I got the following credits of the movie:
The film was directed by KSR Das for ‘Balkrishna Movies, Madras’. It had Vijaylalita, Premnath, Ajit, Madan Puri, Anwar Hussain, Iftikhaar, Natrajan, Jagdeep, Jayshree T, Faryal and Baby Sridevi. Vinod Mehra did a special appearance in this movie.
This song is a Villain’s Den song and is lip synced and performed by Jayashree T. We can also see Prem Nath in the picturisation.
