Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 73
Today’s rare song of Asha Bhosle is from “Rahu Ketu” (1978). It was directed by B. R. Ishara, for producer B. D. Pandey. The music was composed by Kalyanji Anandji & lyrics were written by Verma Malik
It starred Shashi Kapoor, Rekha, Premnath, Pran, Bindu, Aruna Irani, Kamini Kaushal, etc.
The general plot revolves around a police investigation in a remote town.
A CBI Officer Ravi Kapoor (played by Shashi Kapoor), is sent to a remote town to investigate a series of increasing and mysterious deaths. The main villains are called “Rahu Ketu” (named after the shadow planets in Vedic astrology often associated with negative or disruptive forces) and refers to the the village collector Nath (Rahu – played by Premnath) and Karim (Ketu- played by Pran). They are implied to be the powerful, shadowy figures behind the town’s criminal activity.
Upon arriving, the inspector falls in love with a local woman named Tulsi (played by Rekha) and seeks her help in the difficult and dangerous investigation process. The film then follows his efforts to expose the powerful and corrupt figures.
“Mujhe Choona Na” is penned by Verma Malik and set to tune by Kalyanji Anandji.
The song is lip synced by Bindu while Prem Nath can also be seen in the video.
With this song “Rahu Ketu” (1978) is making its debut on the blog.
