The song in this post is from an unreleased movie ‘Rani Chandravati-1960s’. One song from this movie has been presented on the blog earlier by our Shree Sudhir jee.
Not much information about this movie is available in Geet Kosh Vol-IV (1961-1970) where this movie is mentioned under the section of Un-Released movies. Geet Kosh lists six songs leaving space for the possibility that more songs might have been recorded for this movie. The singer’s names for all the six songs have been mentioned. And they include Suman Kalyanpur and Subir Sen; with Suman Kalyanpur having three solos and one solo by Subir Sen. Music for this movie was composed by S.N. Tripathi. Out of the six songs in the movie two have been identified as penned by lyricist B.D. Mishra.
The one solo song sung by Subir Sen has been covered by Sudhir jee on the blog earlier. While presenting this article on 06.01.2016 after Subir Sen’s passing away on 29th December 2015, Sudhir jee has also mentioned the following about this today’s movie.
Today I bring on a very rare solo song from an unreleased film, ‘Rani Chandrawati’ from the 1960s. Some sources peg the year for this film as 1968. However, as per the Geet Kosh, this film was not released for exhibition.
Today I am presenting the second song from this movie which is in the voice of Suman Kalyanpur. Lyricist’s name for today’s song is not known. Music is composed by S.N. Tripathi.
This song is a lovely song where the lady is expressing her feelings which could be her feelings after falling in love (I guess 🙂 ).
Only audio of this song is available, and that gives us the opportunity to savour at least the audio of this wonderful song. By the way, audio of all the six songs mentioned in HFGK appear to be available online.
