The song in this post is from the movie ‘Rangeen Kahaani-1947’. It was directed by Anjum Hussaini for ‘New Roshan Art Productions, Bombay’. This “social” movie had Surekha, S. Irshad, Dulari, Agha Mirza, Sayyad Ahmed, Bibi Jaan, Khursheed Parvez, P.D. Lal, Maqbool, M.K. Hasan, Ghulam Mohiddin, Sarita, Faiyyaz Begam, Mehrunnisa, Azim Hyderabadi, Mahshar Shirazi and others in it.
‘Rangeen Kahaani-1947’ has nine songs written by Waheed Qureshi and composed by Feroz Nizami. The singers for this movie included Ameerbai and Feroz Nizami. However details of singer(s) for one song is missing in Geet Kosh Vol-II (1941-1950).
Three songs from this movie have already been posted on this blog. Today I am presenting the fourth song from this movie which again is a solo song sung by Ameerbai Karnataki. The earlier three songs from this movie posted on the blog are also in the voice of Ameerbai Karnataki. So, the today’s song is going to be her fourth solo song from this movie being presented here.
I guess that we do not have much information about this movie. I would request knowledgeable readers to add more information about this movie if it is available with them. As far as the songs from this movie are concerned they all (except one) seem to be available on internet now.
