“Jalwa”(1955) was produced and directed by Roop K. Shorey forShorey Films, Bombay. The movie had Meena Shorey, Karan Dewan, Amarnath (Bharadwaj), Begum Para, Sundar, Rattan Kumar, Hari Shivdasani, Majnu (aka Harold Lewis), Uma Dutt etc in it.
“Jalwa”(1955) had eight songs in it. Asha Bhonsle’s voice appeared in all the eight songs. She had six solo songs, one duet (with Rafi) and one three singers song (with Rafi and Shaminder Singh) in the movie.
Two songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Jalwa”(1955) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Aziz Kashmiri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vind.
Only audio of the song is available. My guess is that this song was lip synced by Meena Shorey. Nevertheless, I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
