Kamsune/Unsune songs of Asha Bhosle – 99
Today I am presenting “Har Ek Rasta Saja Ke Chal” from “Ameer Aadmi Gharib Aadmi” (1985). The singer is Asha Bhosle, the composer is R. D. Burman and the lyricist is Nida Fazli.
It was directed by Amjad Khan for ‘Cinema International’s’. Shehla Khan and Vinay Sinha were the producers of this movie.
The cast of this movie was Shatrughan Sinha, Zeenat Aman, Kader Khan, Kalpana Iyer, Mazhar Khan, Imtiaz Khan and Amjad Khan. Parveen Babi, Sharat Saxena, and Rabia Ameen had special appearance in this movie.
The film contrasts the lives of two men—one rich and powerful, the other poor but principled—showing how their choices and circumstances shape their destinies. It highlights the corruption and moral decay often associated with wealth, while emphasizing dignity and honesty among the poor.
Story in detail:
The narrative revolves around two central characters from starkly different backgrounds:
*The “Ameer Aadmi” (rich man) is affluent, influential, and accustomed to getting his way through money and power. However, he is morally compromised, often engaging in unethical dealings.
*The “Garib Aadmi” (poor man) struggles to make ends meet but lives with integrity, strong values, and a sense of justice.
*Their lives intersect through circumstances involving family, employment, or conflict—often tied to exploitation, injustice, or betrayal. The rich man’s actions negatively impact the poor man, creating tension and drama.
*As the story progresses, the poor man faces hardships but refuses to abandon his principles.
The rich man becomes increasingly entangled in his own corruption, leading to personal and social consequences.
The film builds toward a moral confrontation where truth, justice, and righteousness challenge wealth and power. Ultimately, the narrative delivers a message that integrity and humanity outweigh material riches, and that misuse of wealth leads to downfall.
The song is a club/cabaret song performed and lip synced by Parveen Babi. We can see Imtiaz Khan along side Gurbachan Singh enjoying the performance.
