Today’s song is from the film Badi Baat-1944.
During the second world war period 1939-1945, a lot of Black marketing flourished and few anti-socials became rich having a lot of unaccounted money. As such, during the war period the British Government had imposed Rationing of various essential items including food items, sugar,oil, Kerosene, Petrol and even Raw Film supply. This provided a golden opportunity to these people to start Black of the rationed items. Needy people and those who could afford, enriched these people. Now, they did not know what to do with this unaccounted money.

Today (7 november 2018) is Deewaali, the festival of lights. It is the biggest festival in India, and it has kept on becoming bigger and bigger with time.
For the blog, it happens to be our eleventh Deewaali. Unblievable but true that this blog has lasted this long and has in fact gone on to evolve and progress as well.

“Badi Baat”(1944), by now an obscure movie, was produced and directed by Mazhar Khan for Mazhar Arts, Bombay. The movie had Swarnlata, Ulhas, Yakub, Mazhar Khan, Moti, Gulab, Khaleel, Madhusudan, Lalita, Mishra, Saguna, Ram Marathe, Baby Roshan, Chandra etc in it.

“Badi Baat” (1944) was directed by Mazhar Khan. If one has to believe the all knowing and all telling sites, who copy from each other are unanimous that this movie had Ulhas in it.
