Hullo Atuldom

“Five Rifles” (1974) was produced and directed by I.S. Johar. I think it was also written by I.S.Johar. Anyone who used to see the movies in the 70s will recall that the male actors – won’t call them protagonist or heroes- were look-alikes of Shashi Kapoor and Rajesh Khanna; credited in the movie’s titles as Shahi Kapoor and Rakesh Khanna. The others in the cast were Ambika Johar (in a double role), Veena, D.K. Sapru, Murad, Kamal Kapoor (in one of his many videshi, police commissioner acts), Anil Johar, Satyadeep etc. and I.S. The movie has a ‘U’ certificate, still its online version requires a confirmation of age 🙂 I don’t know why? anyway I had to watch only the title credits for information 😉 . The film was passed by censors on 09.08.1974.
