We observe that four movies (out of eight) whose songs were covered in the blog on this date ten years ago (on 1 May 2013) have since been YIPPEED.Two more movies have only one song left to be covered, but these songs are not available. So practically only two unYIPPEED movies are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today on 1 May 2023.
“Sant Tukaram”(1965) is one of the BTYC eligible movies today.

One of the most popular and well known saints of Maharashtra, Sant Tukaram is well known and revered equally in Southern India, where he is also sometimes known as Bhakta Tukaram.

I have received quite a few e mails today reminding me that today (1 may 2013) is the 94th birth anniversary of Manna Dey and that no Manna Dey songs have been discussed on the occasion so far. Have no worry, I was aware of the occasion and I fully intended to discuss quite a few Manna Dey songs on the occasion. It is just that it has taken me a bit longer to do that.
