We observe that four movies (out of eight) whose songs were covered in the blog on this date ten years ago (on 1 May 2013) have since been YIPPEED.Two more movies have only one song left to be covered, but these songs are not available. So practically only two unYIPPEED movies are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today on 1 May 2023.
“Sant Tukaram”(1965) is one of the BTYC eligible movies today.
“Sant Tukaram”(1965) was produced by R A Puria and directed by Rajesh Nanda for Ashok Films, Bombay. The movie had Anita Guha, Shahu Modak, B.M.Vyas, Rohit Kumar, Madhu Apte, Badri Prasad, Kesari, Narbada Shankar, Vishwas Kunte, Rajpal, Tun Tun, Sadhna Khote, Raaj Kumar, Baby Shobha, Uma, Helen etc in it.
“Sant Tukaram”(1965) had eight songs in it. Four songs have been covered so far.
Here is the fifth song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Manna Dey. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ved Pal.
The song is picturised as a seduction song on Helen (playing seductress Rambha)and Shahu Modak.
