Aasmaan se neeche

Ever since I started following Bollywood movies, I have been hearing that Bollywood songs basically show Hero and Heroine running around trees. All these days I was curious to see one such song.
My prayers have finally been answered. I have finally located one such song where the hero and heroine are seen running around trees. Well, not exactly trees. It is more like flower plants rather than tall trees in a garden where they are seen running around. Moreover, this song shows a 50 plus Dev Anand and a 40 plus Vyjyanti Mala acting like teenagers.
I am sure I will be able to get a “more authentic” running around the trees song with younger actors. Till then, enjoy this song.

Devanand was 44 (born 26 September 1923) and Vyjayanthimala was 31 (born 13 August 1936).

This is one of my favourite video timepass songs.
I like the picturisation a lot.
The start of this song is quite hilarious when Dev pulls Vyjanthi’s leg.
And in the middle, when she steps on his feet saying “kadam ke nishaan banaate chale”. 🙂
And later, her style when she says “untak, uthkar, hum nahin
jaane waale”.
That they were both like “seniors” hardly matters to me. They still made a great combo in this song.
And if you are thinking about Vyjanthi 40+ in this song, just check her out in “Chhoti Si Mulaqat pyar ban gayi” with Uttam Kumar. 🙂
