I was also a regular listener of ‘ Chhaaya Geet ” programme of Vividh Bhaarti . You aptly named these category of Night Songs “as ” Chhaaya Geet ” in your blog .
An equally good , if not better song ( night’s waiting song ) sung by Asha Tayee ( may both the sisters live a long and healthy life ! ) is “Raat Raat Bhar Jaag Jaag Kar Intezaar karte hain ” ( no direct mention of chaand ) from ” Pyaar Ka Saagar 1961 ” picturized on MEENA Kumariji for Jubilee Kumar . Flamboyant music of Ravisahib with simple but gentle lyrics of Prem Dhawanji added special flavour to the song . Salutation to these great composers . They are not not amongst us ( except Asha Tayee ) , but their compositions had become immortal .
