Here is a typical Lata-Madan Mohan composition, where both give their best. And indeed the lyrics of Rajinder Krishan enable them to create their magic.
The picturisation shows an unbelievably young Anita Guha ( known to later generation audiences for playing Goddess in movies like “Jai Santoshi Maa”) reminiscing about her life gone by. She remembers her childhood, her teen days, she recalls Pradeep Kumar, she recalls her child, etc. It is obviously a sad song. One can feel it by listening to just the audio as well.
This song from “Sanjog” haunts you everytime you listen to it. At list that is the effect this song has on me. And I am not alone.
This song is one of the memorable Lata-Madan Mohan classic, and a timeless one too. And this is also a
kind of song that I call as “chayageet” kind of songs, ideal for listening to at nights.
