Baaghon mein bahaar aayi

Anand Bakshi is the most prolific lyricist in Bollywood history. Many dozens of singers must have sung songs penned by him.
Even Anand Bakshi himself has sung a few songs. He would typically sing a few lines before a regular singer would take over.
But there is a song where he has been the main singer. This is a song from “Mom Ki Gudiya”(1972) and despite my searches, I have singularly failed in locating the video of this song or even the movie. With great difficulty , I have managed to at least download the audio and I am now presenting this song ith the picture of Anand Bakshi.
The song is “Baaghon me bahaar aayi hothon pe pukaar aayi”. This is a duet sung by Lata along with Anand Bakshi. Laxmikant Pyarelal have composed the music.
So, this is a good song for trivia buffs. Now you know the song where Anand Bakshi sings in a duet with Lata. I think Anand Bakshi is only the second lyricist- singer in Bollywood history, the first being Pradeep.
PS- Now I have been able to locate this elusive video. This song is picturised on Tanuja and Ratan Chopra.

Lyrics
aaa
oo
Baaghon mein bahaar aayi
hothon pe pukar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja meri raani
rut bekaraar aayi
rut bekaraar aayi
doli mein sawaar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja mere raaja
Baaghon mein bahaar aayi
hothon pe pukar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja meri raani
phoolon ki gali me aayin
bhanwaron ki toliyan
bhanwaron ki toliyan
diye se patanga khele aankh micholiyan
bole aisi boliyan ke pyaar jaaga
jag so gaya
rut bekaraar aayi
doli mein sawaar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja mere raaja
Baaghon mein bahaar aayi
sapna to sapnon ki
baat hai pyaar mein
baat hai pyaar mein
neend nahin aati sainya
tere intzaar mein
hoke bekaraar tujhe dhoondhun main
tu kahan kho gaya
Baaghon me bahaar aayi
hothon pe pukar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja meri raani
aaja mere raaja
Lambi lambi baatein chheden
chhoti si raat mein
chhoti si raat mein
saari baatein kaise hongi
ik mulaqaat me
ek hi baat me lo dekh lo
sawera ho gaya
Baaghon me bahaar aayi
hothon pe pukar aayi
aaja aaja aaja
aaja meri raani
rut bekaraar aayi
doli me sawaar ayi
aaj aaja aaja
aaja mere raaja
aaja meri raani
aaja mere raaja

Great song!
There was an Anjuman CLub in my college days in 1980s when we used to search such songs! But even we had missed it. I wish all the members of club listen to this.

This song has been neatly copied from a Pakistani song sung by Noor Jehan.

Atul ji,
Somebody copying a Pakistani song is a rarity, but copying from Indian films, screenplays, stories, songs, tunes, titles, styles, dresses etc has been the strength of pakistani films from 1947 september onwards.Even their National pride songs had to be copied from our films like Jagriti(1954) in tunes and by just changing the names of leaders in it.
In fact, the whole pakistani film industry would not have had a good start, but for the exodus of our film indutry artists in various fields from 1946 to 1956 or so.

Yeah, the copied version sounds much better than the original source from where it had been copied. That may be because the Hindi film songs are better packaged and also the milieu appeals to us.
And yes, copying has been going on since time immemorial, so lets stop worrying about it and enjoy the music.

I remember seeing this movie as a young boy.
And I definitely knew this piece of trivia.
