Wo hain zara khafa khafa

In Bollywood movies, majority of songs are romantic songs. One small portion of such songs is the “sulking” song, where one party, typically the female sulks and the other person has to appease the sulking person.
In this song, the roles are reversed. Joy Mukherjee is sulking here and it is Saira Bano who tries to mollify him.
And within one para into the song, the guy is mollified enough to start responding and start singing.
I s Johar is the disciple of Joy Mukherjee who is taking lessons from Joy Mukherjee on the art of “how to win girlfriends and influence the women”, and he watches the duo in action from a distance, while seated in his jalopy.

Lyrics
Wo hain zara khafa khafa
to nain yoon churaaye hain
ki ho ho ho ho ho
Wo hain zara khafa khafa
to nain yoon churaaye hain
ki ho ho ho ho ho
hmmm hmmm
hans rahi hai chaandni
machal ke ro na doon kahin
aise koyi roothta nahin
ye tera khayaal hai
kareeb aa mere haseen
mujhko tujhse kuchh gila nahin
baate yoon banaaye hai ke o ho ho ho ho
na bol doon to kya karoon
wo hanske yoon bulaaye hai ke ho ho ho ho ho
aise mat sataayiye zara taras to khaayiye
dil ki dhadkan mat jagaayiye
kuchh nahin kahoonga main
na ankhdiya jhukaayiye
sar to kaandhe se uthaayiye
aisi neend aaye hain ki hmm hmm ho
Wo hain zara khafa khafa
to nain yoon churaaye hain
ki ho ho ho ho ho
ho ho ho ho ho
Wo hain zara khafa khafa
to nain yoon churaaye hain
ki ho ho ho ho ho
na bol doon to kya karoon
wo hanske yoon bulaaye hai ke ho ho ho ho ho

Will you believe it ? I saw this movie for the first time in my life only about a month ago. Cute movie – timepass. Saira Banu was pretty good – and pretty and good – in the movie. 🙂
Lovely songs in the movie. Laxmi-Pyare’s music.
