Manmohan man mein ho tumhi

Posted on: February 6, 2009

This movie called “Kaise Kahoon” (1964) is quite unknown to most people. But the music of this movie is quite remarkable . Music director of this movie was S D Burman and he teamed up with lyricist Shakeel Badayuni in this movie.

This movie had a memorable semi classical song. It is sung by S D Batish, Suman Kalyanpur and Rafi.

What a nice semi classical song this is ! Three very different singers come together in this song to create a memorable song.

Is that a very young Nanda?

All three singers have sung so very very well, and yet they are all so individual and different at the same time…

Classical/semiclassical songs of Hindi films is my weakness and I am ever eager to listen them. This particular song is one of my favourite amongst the lot. All the singers have rendered it very beautifully and made it immortal.

Can it be better than this? All three singers delivered it so well that till day it is widely sung by so many like me. People still think lata didi sang this. but aideo Suman Kalyanpur (poor man’s lata didi) Hats off to all three of you.
