Kabhi yahaan kabhi wahaan

“Manchali” (1971) was a nice light hearted movie featuring Sanjeev Kumar and Leena Chandawarkar. This movie had some nice songs and I have already posted two songs from this movie.
But imagine my pleasant surprise yesterday when all of a sudden I stumbled upon another song from this movie which I had forgotten all about after I last heard this song in 1973.
Here is this nice “piano” cum “party” song from “Manchali”. It was sung by Lata and picturised on Leena Chandawarkar and Sanjeev Kumar. The song was written by Anand Bakshi and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Lyrics
kabhi yahaan kabhi wahaan
kabhi kahaan kabhi kahaan kabhi kahaan
kali kali choome gali gali jhoome
kali kali choome gali gali jhoome
bhanwra beimaan bhanwra beimaan
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kali kali choome gali gali jhoome
bhanwra beimaan bhanwra beimaan
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kabhi tere saath bhi ye baat ho na jaye
kisi bhanwre se mulaqaat ho na jaaye
kabhi tere saath bhi ye baat ho na jaye
kisi bhanwre se mulaqaat ho na jaaye
ho harjai ka pyaar kyaa hai aitbaar
kabhi is phoole pe kabhi us phool pe
kabhi is phoole pe kabhi us phool pe
kali kali choome gali gali jhoome
bhanwra beimaan bhanwra beimaan
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
tujhe samjhaaun kaise preet ki paheli
bada dagabaaz hai ye meet o saheli
tujhe samjhaaun kaise preet ki paheli
bada dagabaaz hai ye meet o saheli
o kare waade hazaar loote bahaar
kabhi is daal pe kabhi us daal pe
kabhi is daal pe kabhi us daal pe
kali kali choome gali gali jhoome
bhanwra beimaan bhanwra beimaan
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me
kabhi is baagh me kabhi us baagh me

Often one thinks that the 70s were bad for music, I think mostly because I remember later years.
Now with all these songs that you are posting, I realise that there was a lot of good music around, with the added benefit of having Lata, Rafi, Kishore, Asha and others at a level that was on par with their best and voices that had developed beautifully over time.
