Milte hi aankhen dil hua deewaana kisi ka

Here is a song that I heard many a times in Radio Ceylon in the morning between 7-30 AM to 8 AM. And as happened with me most of the time, all I knew about the song was the name of the singers, that is all.
Now I know the other details. This song is from “Baabul” (1950). The song was sung by Talat Mahmood and Shamshad Begum ( this I knew). Music director was Naushad, and Shakeel Badayuni was the lyricist.
The song is a piano song, where Dilip Kumar sits at the piano and sings. Munawwar Sultana, who cuts such a nice figure coyly accompanying Dilip Kumar in singing this duet.
It is a nice evergreen song with a nice picturisation to boot. This song is easily a timeless classic.
Song-Milte hi aankhen dil huaa deewaana kisi ka (Baabul) (1950) Singers-Talat Mehmood, Shamshad Begum, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Naushad
Lyrics

hanste hi naa aa jaayen kahin, aankhon mein aansoo

Ver interesting! I heard the Hemant Kumar-Umadevi version for the first time.
My humble attempt…

Interesting! Thanks Atulji for the confirmation. Does any one know why it was not used in the movie?

Khyati Bhatt ji,
This is a song recorded earlier by Naushad,in the voices of Hemant Kumar and Uma Devi,as Tal Mahmood and Shamshad’s dates were not matching and the shooting had to be proceeded. Afterwards, naushad recorded the same song in Talat’s voice (by choice of dilip kumar, who never preferred hemant kumar) and Shamshad begum.
