Here is a cute song from “CID” (1956). This movie had extremely popular songs composed by O P Nayyar.
This song is “boojh mera kyaa naam re” sung by Shamshad Begum. No, it is not sung by the heroine (Shakila) or by the vamp (Waheeda Rahman). It is sung by a bit actress called Minu Mumtaz (sister of the comedian Memhood). The situation is that Dev Anand, who is driving through a village with Shakila as his co passenger, stops there. And there, a few village belles sing this song.
This song was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and it is one of the few occasions where Majrooh Sultanpuri teamed up with O P Nayyar.

Thanks for the correction. So the dancer was Minu Mumtaz. Just one week ago, I read a detailed interview with Minu Mumtaz who is now 65 but looks 50.

There is one Hindi newspaper”dainik bhaskar” in India which carries interviews with forgotten movie people from the past, based on requests by its readers. This interview is published every weekend. So far they have published interviews from Omi ( of Sonik Omi fame), Suman Kalyanpur,Junior Mehmood, Minu Mumtaz etc.
