Jaadugar qaatil haazir hai mera dil

In Bollywood movies, whatver be the profession of the hero, he is mostly seen singing rather than engaging in his profession.
For example, I noticed Dilip Kumar seated on a piano and singing songs all the time in “Andaaz” (1949). In fact, I realise that in Dilip Kumar movies where Naushad composed the music, Dilip Kumar almost always had at least one piano song in every movie.
And what would Dilip Kumar do in these movies, when he was not playing a piano ? He would be playing some other musical instrument, of course !
Here is a song from “Kohinoor” (1960). Music director is Naushad and the lyricist is Shakeel Badayuni. Here Dilip Kumar is shown merrily playing sitar. And Kumkum sings and dances.
It is a very nice song to listen to and watch. Asha Bhonsle has sung this song. I had read about this song for quite some time, but it was only yesterday that I finally managed to locate its video. And the wait for this song was worth it.

Dilip Kumar plays the sitar in the other famous song in this movie – Madhuban mein radhika nachere … and I read somewhere that he is a fairly accomplished sitar player and likes to strum the sitar sometimes when they have company. If I am not mistaken, he also plays the trumpet or shehnai in one of the songs of Leader, so he has been musically gifted in his various roles!
There are great songs in this movie, such as the famous Madhuban mein radhika …, Do sitaron ka zameen par …, Koi pyar ki dekhe jadugari …, dhal chuki sham -e gham …, and of course, this one, which I remember hearing in the past.
