Lucknow chalo ab raani

We are used to listening to songs sung by the usual voices. But sometimes, when we get to listen to some different voices, then it comes as a whiff of fresh air.
Yesterday, I discovered just that kind of a song. It is from a movie called “Sansaar” (1951). It is sung by G M Durrani and Geeta Dutt. Geeta Dutt’s voice is fairly well known to most music lovers, but listening to G M Durrani’s voice was a surreal experience for me.
And this song is a light hearted comedy song.It is really fun to listen to. The picturisation is very nice too. It shows Agha and a cute lady ( “slighly” on the plump side) singing this song. I am told that Bollywood songs tended to be sung by running round trees. Here they sing this song while running round a bed.
This wonderful comedy song was written by Pt Indra and the nice music was composed by E Shankar Sastry.

Nice light comedy song . Can any of the knowledgeable reader tell who is the cute lady shown along with Agha ?
