Here is a lovely semi classical song and dance performance from “Dhool ka phool” (1959). This movie which starred Rajendra Kumar and Mala Sinha had some nice songs i it.
This song is sung by Sudha Malhotra. It is written by Sahir Ludhianvi and music is composed by N Dutta. I have no idea who are the two ladies ( one playing the sitar and other dancing) on whom this song is picturised. Both have done well in this picturisation. And it is so nice to listen to a classical music based song that even a layman can enjoy listening to.
PS-Now I know that the lady dancing on this song is Naaz.

The lady with the sitaar is POORNIMA(She acted as second lead roles in early 60`s, Later on she started to play character roles, I have last seen her in Mahesh Bhatt’`s NAAM.
I have read somewhere that she is aunt of famous movie director MAHESH BHATTA and grand mother (NAANI)of famous Hero Emraan Haashmi(Murder, Zehar fame)
