Wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa

I have posted several songs from “Anpadh” (1962) and I need to post the remaining songs from this movie as well.
Here is this poignant song from “Anpadh”. Like the earlier songs posted, this song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Mala Sinha. The picturisation shows Mala Sinha thrown out (literally) from her husband’s home and the door shut down on her.
The lyrics of Raja Mehdi Ali Khan are quite heart rending. Madan Mohan’s music creates just the right mood for the song. I am coming round to the view that not just a few songs, rather just about every song of “Anpadh” is a classic song.

Song-Wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi ka (Anpadh) (1962) Singer- Lata, Lyrics-Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, MD-Madan Mohan
Lyrics
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
ye toote hain kiske sitaare
wo kismat hansi aur aise hansi
ke rone lage gham ke maare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
ye toote hain kiske sitaare
wo kismat hansi aur aise hansi
ke rone lage gham ke maare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
gayaa jaise jhonkaa hawaa kaa
hamaari khushi kaa zamaanaa
diye hamko kismat ne aansoo
jab aayaa hamen muskuraanaa
binaa hamsafar hai sooni dagar
kidhar jaayen ham besahaare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
hain raahen kathin door manzil
ye chhaayaa hai kaisaa andheraa
ke ab chaand sooraj bhi milkar
nahin kar sakenge saweraa
ghataa chhaayegi bahaar aayegi
naa aayenge wo din hamaare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
idhar ro rahi hain ye aankhen
udhar aasmaan ro rahaa hai
mujhe kar ke barbaad zaalim
pashemaan ab ho rahaa hai
ye barkhaa kabhi to ruk jaayegi
rukenge naa aansoo hamaare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa
ye toote hain kiske sitaare
wo kismat hansi aur aise hansi
ke rone lage gham ke maare
wo dekho jalaa ghar kisi kaa

Let me add from what I learned from a YouTube viewer’s comment on this video version. it is possible that the dholak track in this particular version could be digitally “enhanced.” The digital audio cleaning technique can be useful to remove unpleasant hiss and scratches from the old recording, but it seems that the “enhancement” effort can go a bit too far.

Thank you for reviewing yet another great composition from Anpadh.
Tell me, is my hearing impaired or have my computer speakers become distorted or is the sound of the drums too loud in the video of this song that you have linked to?
I have a DVD of this film in which the drums in this song are not this loud (by the way, I have posted a HQ video of this song on YouTube from the film DVD; the overall volume in it is rather low, but it is the same for the voice and the instruments).
