Here is a song whose farmaish was given by a reader Sunit but I was unable to post it since I was neither aware of this song nor was I able to locate it. Raja very kindly provided me the link of this song with the comment that this song was a popular song of his (and my) childhood days.
I heard the song and watched it, and the song still did not ring a bell. I had never heard this song before ! So this song is a new song for me.
Here is this song which appears to be a villain’s den song where the good guys (Hero, Heroine, their sidekicks etc) invade the villain’s den in disguise or as dancers. The villains, as we know so well by now, were very fond of organising a song and dance in their hideout in these 1970s movies.
Here, Bindu is shown performing a dance with her troupe lip syncing in Asha Bhonsle’s voice. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and R D Burman composed the music.
The villains for some reason are too nervous. I have never seen such under-confident baddies in any Bollywood movies. Jeewan and his cronies certainly appear very nervous and petrified throughout this song.
Here is this song from “Garam Masaala” (1972) which is a “new” song for me, though not for many of my regular readers.
