Deep deewaali ke jhhoothhe
Posted on: November 5, 2010
Though I have seen the movie “Jugnu” (1973), I do not much remember the songs of this movie. While looking for deewali songs, I found that this movie indeed has a deewali song, and that too a happy deewali song. I wonder how I do not remember this song despite watching this movie.
On the occasion of deewaali, here is this deewaali song from “Jugnu” (1973). It is sung by Kishore Kumar and it is picturised on Dharmendra and several kids. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and S D Burman composed the music, though one can detect the touch of R D Burman music in this song.

Chhote chhote nannhe munne pyaare pyaare re
achhe bacche jag ke ujiyaare re
deep deewaale ke jhoote
aa haa
raat chalen subah toote
Chhote chhote nanhe munne pyaare pyaare re
acche bacche jag ke ujiyaare re
deep deewaali ke jhoote
aa haa
raat chalen subah toote
inke aage
rang phheeke
sab nazar aate hain
chaand taare
aa haa
inse hi saare
aa haa
raushni paate hain
inko dekhen
dekh ke jhoomen
baag ki daali daali
phool bahaaron ke jhhoothe
aa haa
aaj khilen aur kal toote
chhote chhote nanhe munne pyaare pyaare re
acche bachhe jag ke ujiyaare re
deep deewaali ke jhoothe
arre waah re Pandu
saath chalen subah chhote
akkad bakkad bombay bo
billi number poore sau
sau mein lagaa dhaagaa
chor nikalkar bhaagaa
chidiyaa jhoome raani raani bole
ye hansen to
hans paden sab
royen to sab royen
inki khaatir ham aap jaagen
chain se ye soyen
aadmi ki
zindagi ka
ye hai sachchaa sahaaraa
aur sahaare sab jhoothhe
aa haa
aaj milen aur kal toote
chhote chhote nanhe munne pyaare pyaare re
achhe bachhe jag ke ujiyaare re
deep deewaali ke jhoothhe
raat jale subah toote
deep deewaali ke jhoothhe
raat jale subah toote

Jugnu has at least 3 very good songs which have been picturized very well on Dharam and Hema. One of them is a rain song–jaane kya pillaya, one is a dance song–Hema is quite enchanting and one is a little silly but very nice –she is wearing a red salwar, he is super handsome.
