Baadal ki paalki pe hoke sawaar

“Chakradhaari” (1954) was a B grade low budget movie as most movies with mythological/religious stories tended to be those days. Of course there was nothing B grade about the music of such movies considering that there was far too much of musical talent available those days to cater to movies of all budgets.
This movie had actors like Nirupa Roy, Trilok Kapoor, Shahu Modak,Yashodhara Katju etc in lead roles.
I have discussed two songs from this movie in the past. Here is another song from this movie. It is a romantic duet sung by Asha Bhonsle and Hemant Kumar. Pradeep is the lyricist and the music (based on Gujrati Dandiya music) is composed by Avinash Vyas.
I can identify Nirupa Roy, but I am not familiar with the male actor and I am guessing that he must be Shahu Modak. I request my knowledgeable readers to help identify him.

The actor in this song is TRILOK KAPOOR.
He was very famous for his portrayal of Bhagwan Shanker,in hundreds of movies.It was rumoured that in Shiva’s role,T.Kapoor wore a real snake around his neck.Invariably,Nirupa Roy used to be in the role of Parvati,along with him.They,together, acted in few social movies too.
