“Jeet” (1949) is a movie that paired Suraiyya (a popular star of the time) with Dev Anand, then a new comer.
This movie is still remembered for its music. I have discussed as many as four songs from this movie already. Here is another song from this movie.
This is a love song. Suraiyya and Dev Anand are together and Suraiyya professes her love for him in this song. And in the manner of those days, this love song is sung in the style of a bhajan, where Suraiyya is the devotee and Dev Anand is the Bhagwan.
This song, which is sung by Suraiyya herself, is written by Prem Dhawan. Anil Biswas is the music director.
