I keep stumbling against rare and unheard of musical gems almost on a regular basis, and here is the gem of the day.
This song is from a forgotten B grade movie called “Ghulam Begam Baadshah”(1956). This is not to be confused with another movie of the same name that was released in 1973.
This song is a dance song performed in a king’s court. The song is sung by Geeta Dutt and it is picturised on Minu Mumtaz. Indeewar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sudipta. I have never heard of him, but that is not unusual. There were many talented musicians who did not get their well deserved breaks those days. This person Sudipta definitely deserved more opportunities to showcase his talents.

Niagara Films Bombay,producers of this film listed the name of SANDEEP as the Music Director of this film.No information was avaiable either for Sandeep or Sudipta to me.Sometimes one film Music Directors were not uncommon.
