O mere bichhde balam

Posted on: January 30, 2011

Here is a lovely song from an obscure B grade movie. Only the audio of this song is available so it is not possible to tell about the artist on whom this song is picturised.

The song is sung by Lata. Jaan Nisaar Akhtar is the lyricist. Music is composed by N Datta. listening to this song is quite a divine experience.

Song-O mere bichhde balam ( Mr John ) (1959) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Jaan Nisaar Akhtar, MD- N Datta

Lyrics

O mere bichhde balam
o mere bichhde balam
toone kaisa diyaa gham
lut gaye ham
in aansuon ki kasam
o mere bichhde balam

ek pal bhi na hamko
khushi ka milaa
aaa aaa
ek pal bhi na hamko
khushi ka milaa
zindagi se bataa de hamen kyaa milaa
ek pal bhi na hamko
khushi ka milaa
zindagi se bataa de hamen kyaa milaa
uspe tera ye sitam
lut gaye ham
in aansuon ki kasam
o mere bichhde balam

thha yaqeen tu hamen chhod sakta nahin
o o o
thha yaqeen tu hamen chhod sakta nahin
dil hai naazuk kabhi tod saktaa hai
thha yaqeen tu hamen chhod sakta nahin
dil hai naazuk kabhi tod saktaa hai
kaisa tootaa ye bharam
lut gaye ham
in aansuon ki kasam
o mere bichhde balam

hasraton ka chaman aaj lutne lagaa
aaa aaa aaa
hasraton ka chaman aaj lutne lagaa
ab to aajaa ke dam mera ghutne lagaa
hasraton ka chaman aaj lutne lagaa
ab to aajaa ke dam mera ghutne lagaa
kahin dil na jaaye thham
lut gaye ham
in aansuon ki kasam
o mere bichhde balam
toone kaisaa diyaa gham
lut gaye gham
in aansuon ki kasam
o mere bichhde balam

This movie had Johnny Walker,Shyama,Helen and others in the cast.
The song is filmed on Shyama, when the lovers are separated after a misunderstanding.

i ve heard my dad sing a song “Mr.john E Baba Khan O lala Roshan dan” or some such thing. is that also from this movie?
he used to say that it was a Johnny Walker movie. don’t remember which one. there was one other Johnny Walker movie by the name “Mr. Cartoon M.A.” lets find out songs from that too

No, that song is from “Baarish” (1957). This song has already been posted.
