I have remarked in the past that “Bhakt Surdas” (1942) is a treasure of great K L Saigal songs. Correction- It has great songs, not just by the great man, but also by the female lead of the movie. Yes, Khurshid, the female lead of this movie also shines with her singing in this movie.
Here is a song from this movie which is sung by Khurshid. This song is written by D N Madhok. Music is composed by Gyan Dutt. Superb is the word that readily comes to mind while describing this song.

Thanks for your kind words. It is not really equivalent to the venerable Harmandir Hamraaz’s efforts, as we in this blog do not aim to include each and every song that there ever was. However, there is a good representation of songs from lots of movies in this blog. With time, it is hoped that this site will add more and more useful and authentic information.
