I am aware of an obscure movie called “Mehmaan” (1974). As it turns out, there is an equally obscure movie called “Mehmaan” (1953) too. This movie had Premnath and Nimmi in lead roles.
Here is a melancholic song from this movie which is sung by Lata and which is picturised on Nimmi (naturally, as one would say 😉 ).
Lyricist is someone called P N Rangeen. Music is composed by Anil Biswas.
Here is one fact that has almost gone unnoticed, as far as this blog and Lata is concerned.This song is Lata’s 1300th song in this blog. Yes, Lata rules, not only in Hindi movie music scene, but in this blog as well.
