“Ek Dil Sau Afsaane” (1963) is a movie starring Raj Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman. To my mind, the two were pair together in very few movies. The only other movie with the two that I can recall is Teesri Kasam(1966).
“Ek Dil Sau Afsaane” (1963) has some nice songs in it as can be expected from a movie that had the then biggest musical team of the era, consisting of Shankar Jaikishan as the music director and Shailendra/Hasrat Jaipuri as the lyricists.
I have discussed as many as four songs from this movie in the past, and the last song from this movie was discussed some one year back and then I began to concentrate on discussing the songs of artists who are less represented in the blog.
While discussing songs of the less represented artists (read those with less than 100 songs in the blog), I need to ensure that I do not neglect the songs of artists like the team of movies like “Ek Dil Sau Afsaane” (1963). So here is another song from this movie. This song is sung by Mukesh. It is picturised on Raj Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Farmaish for this song was by Lalitha.
So here is this song for old times sake, so much reminiscent of old radio days. 🙂

Atul ji,
There seems to be some confusion between Raaj Kumar and Raaj Kapoor.As the first line stated name of Raaj kumar,I provided the above information.

I tend to absentmindedly type Raj Kumar instead of Raj Kapoor and vice versa. 🙂
