I have reached such a stage in discussing K L Saigal songs that now very few youtube videos involving K L Saigal songs have been left untouched. Very few of the remaining songs of K L Saigal may be available on youtube.
Here is one of the remaining few songs available on youtube that I had not yet discussed. This song is from “Lagan” (1941). Aarzoo Lucknowi is the lyricist and music is composed by R C Boral.
I had never heard this song before. And I must say that listening to this K L Saigal song is a divine experience. What a voice !

‘khaathaa’ should read ‘paathar’ which means patthar or stone which cannot be uprooted by the strikes of huge waves.

Yes, listening to Saigal Saab’s songs is a ‘divine experience’.

‘Yeh kaisa anyaay data’ is one of K L Saigal’s best sung songs. I am afraid Atul has erred in writing the text of this song. The correct words in the second part of the song are ‘mein bhi yuhin jama rahun ga kaisa hi toofan aaye, ghat ka pathar hil nahin sakta lakh thapede khaye…’
There are some Saigal songs in which the listener cannot clearly catch the exact wording, maybe because these songs are very old or maybe at the recording stage, there was some lapse.
