“Swarg Narak” (1978) was produced by Vijaya Productions and directed by Dasari Narayan Rao. This movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Jeetendra,Tanuja,Vinod Mehra,Mausami Chatterji,Shabana Azmi,Jagdeep, Om Shivpuri,Komila Wirk,Raj Mehra, Shammi, Vikram Gokhale, Birbal etc.
This movie had what I call a “Chandamama” kind of story, where “Chandamama” was a popular children’s magazine published from Madras and contained stories similar to the stories of movies produced by South Indian production houses.
I have discussed two songs from “Swarg Narak” (1978) in the past. Here is another song from the movie. This is a song that I did not like at that time as I regarded it as a song that represented the deterioration in the quality of lyrics of Hindi movie songs. With time, I have grudgingly come round to the view that this song was in fact a song that despite its seemingly pedestrian lyrics was a song worth listening to. And the credit for that goes to the melodious voice of Rafi.
The song is composed by Rajesh Roshan. The song is picturised on Jeetendra.

In fact, B.Nagi reddy and Chakrapani are the producers of this movie, and B.Nagireddy is the owner of “CHANDAMAMA”(the children monthly magazine).
B.Nagireddy produced following message drived movies,which does have melodious musical compositions.

Yes, indeed I was familiar with the names of B Nagi Reddy and Chakrapani, because their names appeared in Chandamama magazine.
