On the occasion of Rafi’s birthday, I have discussed a variety of songs of many genre whose lyrics were contributed by different contributors. So, going by that trend, here is another Rafi gem from yet another forgotten movie.
This song is from “Do Aankhen” (1974). This song of “shringaar ras” which describes the female body likening it to the smoothness of a lotus flower is written by Verma Malik. Hansraj Bahl is the music director.
This song is one of the latest songs composed by Hansraj Bahl, because he did much of his composing from 1940s to 1960s. I had heard this song many a times in 1970, but all that while I remained oblivious to the details of this song, viz name of the movie, name of the lyricist and music director etc. For that matter I did not even know about the artisyts on whom this song was picturised. As one can notice from the picturisation, the song is picturised on Vishwajeet and Rekha.
