“Raam Aur Shyaam” (1967) was a Vijaya International production. It was directed by Chanakya. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Nirupa Roy, Kanhaiyalal, Nazir Hussain, Sajjan, Mukri, Amar, Leela Misra, Zebunissa, Farida, Pran etc in it.
This movie, which was a magnum opus had some superb songs in it. I have so far discussed three songs from the movie. Here is another song from this movie. This song is a birthday song. In this song, Baby Fareeda is celebrating her birthday. Many children are present and so is Dilip Kumar who sings this happy birthday song on the occasion. Others who are visible in the picturisation are Waheeda Rehman, Mumtaz, Pran and Nirupa Roy.
This song is sung by Rafi.Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist and music is composed by Naushad.

the heroine of Kannada movie “Goadalli cid 999″(1968)(with raj kumar) is Lakshmi(later became famous in Hindi movie JULIE)
But REKHA acted with dr.rajkumar in another Kannada bond movie, I am unable to recollect its exact name, it must like “Operation jackpotnalli cid 999(1968)”
Then about REKHA`s appearance in Raam aur shyaam , I just have a vague memory of reading her interview in which she herself said that she was there in that song as a junior child artiste, I may be wrong.

In the film Goadalli CID 999,besides Laxmi, Sabitha Perara was also acting but the Heroine was Rekha only.This is confirmed .I give below a link where you can get this info.

Sir,
That information is misleading.
Being a kannada speaking citizen I am very much aware of movies acted by Dr.Rajkumar.
Dr.Rajkumar acted in a series of such bond movies like Jedara Bale(with jayanthi), Goadalli cid 999(with Lakshmi,sabita pereira),operation jackpotnalli cid999(with rekha and surekha),Operation diamond rocket(Padmapriya,seema kapoor).
I have just watched the credit cards of 1969 movie
“OPERATION JACKPOTNALLI C.I.D.999 directed by dorai bhagwan and music by g.k.venkatesh,
starcast:raajkumar,narasimharaaju,
They have shown rekha`s name as NAVANATI(that means NAYEE TAARIKA):REKHA, and
another actress SUEKHA,devishri,mauleen,padmashree etc.

Somewhere I have read, Rekha told in her interview that she was among the many child artistes on whom this song was picturised on. But I am unable to identify her face, Arunji or anyone who know about this fact or I am hallucinating????????HELP

It is unlikely that she was there as a child artist in the crowd of this song.
Bhanurekha Ganeshan(b.10-10-1954) appeared as a child artist in Telugu film Rangula Ratnam-1966 and as a Heroine against Dr.Rajkumar in Kannada film Goa Dalli CID 999 in 1969.She made debut in Hindi in 1970 in Sawan Bhado.She acted in the same year in Anjana safar with Biswajit,in which she gave a kissing scene.This landed the film in trouble and it was later released as Do Shikari in 1979-ofcourse without ‘that’ scene.
