“Doraaha” (1971) was produced by Ram Dayal and directed by Firoz Chinoy. This movie had an adult theme and that made the movie a “controversial” movie. In other words, the movie audience, media as well as the censors were not mature enough to handle movies of this genre. This movie, as well as other movies of the same genre, viz. “Dastak”, “Chetna” etc suffered from wrong publicity which attracted wrong kind of movie goers to these movies. The movies suffered at the box office. Come to thingk of it, Indian movie audience, media as well as the censors have not yet matured even today, some four decades later, to be able to deal with these kind of movies.
Here is a song from “Doraaha”(1971). This song is a lullaby song of sorts. The song is picturised on Radha Saluja and a baby. The picturisation then shifts to Radha Saluja and Anil Dhawan.

As Thandapani said, ‘Do Raha’ is remembered today only for the ‘bold’ scene. The ‘bold’ scene in question being an elaborate, unnecessarily extended rape scene. Roopesh Kumar was the rapist. How Radha Saluja agreed to do this scene will always be a mystery to me. The story of this movie was quite a good one but it got buried with this ‘hot’ scene and Anil Dhawan’s insipid acting…….

Presently Radha Saluja is living in Los Angeles. Few years back, she owned a CD/DVD store in our Indian Community area and I have purchased many discs from her store.

For one strange moment, reading in a rush, I thought Indeevar had sent you the lyrics, rofl. I remember seeing this move Doraha. Apart from the ‘bold’ scene in it, I don’t recall much. The song is nice though.
