“Angaarey” (1954) was an Akash Chitra Production movie. It was directed by K B Lal. The movie had Vanmala, Pran, Paro, Ratan Kumar, K. N. Singh, Nasir Khan, Nargis, Jagirdar, Nanda, Jeevan, Sunalini Devi, Jawahar Kaul etc in it.
Here is a song from this movie. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam and Kishore Kumar. I am unable to identify the lady lip syncing in Shamshad Begam’s voice and attempting to put a girl to sleep. Outside, Jeevan lip sycs in Kishore Kumar’s voice calling that lady out. So I suppose that this song be called a lullaby cum calling the beloved song, both rolled into one. 🙂 Why not, if one comes to think of it. 🙂
PS-The lullaby singer is Paro and the young girl is Baby Nanda, who would grow up to be Nanda. I thank Sudhir jee for these identifactions.
Sahir Ludhianvi has written the song which includes some light hearted funny words, especially for Kishore Kumar’s portion of the song.
It is for the first time that I have seen Jeevan getting to lip sync a song in a Hindi movie. And it is also news to me that Kishore Kumar was giving playback for someone other than Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor in early 1950s. But then S D Burman, his mentor was the music director, so he made it possible for Kishore Kumar to get this playback singing opportunity.

Atul ji,
I think the lady in this video clip is Paro. I request for confirmation from other readers also.
But there is one certain identification. Look closely at the child’s face. It is Baby Nanda, later to become the famous leading lady, Nanda.
Jeevan, lip syncing, and Kishore Kumar in the background. I simply had to see this song as soon as I read this message. 🙂
