I don’t know what was the promise Atul had made to himself when he started this blog. I don’t know what were his criteria for selecting songs for posting. But I know a whole lot of us liked his blog, got into the habit of logging in to see what he had posted. The next stage in the journey was to send him requests and I am sure he must have felt like vividh bharati and there was a backlog of requests (farmaishes). So what happened next was regulars turned contributors—either sending lyrics or write ups. Ab alam yeh hain ki there are a few days when there was one post from Atul and the rest from contributions. Of course Atul still has to write a suitable post when we send him only the lyrics or link for a particular song.
Now we have a new madness amongst we Atulites- sending contributions for celebrating anniversaries. And there are days when all the posts are for the anniversary. And we also end up celebrating all and sundries birthdays or death days. So towards this end I am sending the lyrics for this song from Rahul Rawail’s 1987 movie “Dacait”(1987).
This movie had Sunny Deol, Meenakshi Seshadri, Rakhee, Suresh Oberoi, and Urmilla Matondkar as Sunny’s sister. This movie also had Satyajeet as a friend of Sunny. We all know him as Master Satyajeet of “Anuraag”, “Hari Darshan”, grandson of Durga Khote in “Bidaai” etc. After he grew up he acted in a few movies as hero’s friend etc. Recently Atul had posted a song from “Paheli” picturised on him.
Satyajeet Puri, son of actor Daljit Puri, who is better known as just Satyajeet or Master Satyajeet was born on 25 september 1960. Today he celebrates his 52nd bithday. How time flies ! An actor who began his career as Master Satyajeet is now 52 ! Happy birthday and many happy returns of the day !
